This is absolutely marvelous work! Thanks.
First, never feel guilty about not doing something on social media. The only people who “do everything necessary” on social media are those who have STAFF DOING IT FOR THEM!!!
As a fiction author who is a total failure at it (I’m a very good writer, but I cannot sell any books) among other reasons people keep telling me that I need to use Instagram and Twitter more. I have accounts there but, truly, I rarely use them. I’ve never used Twitter to promote any of my books. I don’t believe, in the fifteen years or so I’ve had a Twitter account, that I’ve even posted there ten times.
Others will come right out and ask me to write some kind of review for their books here or there and I’ll do it for them gladly. Only once, years ago on Facebook, did I ever do such a thing. I felt like an idiot. And I lost half my “friends.”
It probably works more charms with Medium articles, I suppose, but it does seem like a great deal of effort. However, like a newsletter or any other vehicle for promotion, once the ball gets rolling...
