That’s very much the point here, I think. People love haiku and these other short forms because they are so “mechanical” and require more thought than inspiration. And on Medium shorter pieces do get more reading time. But, of course, poetry in general does not! You have to write about BITCOIN to make real money. Or better, write about making money to make money! But...make it short!

Women zai shuo ba is Mandarin for something like “kick the can down the road” or “we’ll talk about it later.” It’s a way of saying to someone, “This isn’t worth talking about now.” Like if you are having an argument with your husband over some small thing that is about to become a VERY BIG thing for some silly reason... You say “women zai shuo ba” and put it to rest so it never comes up again.

My older sister told me when I was a lonely 10-year-old boy that I had eyes like Paul Newman. It still works 60 years later.

Thanks, again and always, for reading. And, again, I'm sorry that I don't read what you publish in GiaB. But I refuse to give that horrible man a penny.

Possessor of Paul Newman eyes. Author of many things straightforward and strange. Some of them appear here. “Women zai shuo ba” as the Mandarin say. Born 2016.
