Several years ago I found myself thinking more or less along the same lines, but only in regard to what happens in old age; that something occurs (you might not know this, perhaps, being so young) that bends the perception of time, narrowing or widening the focus of memory at times, with some perhaps completely one way or the other, bending it out of shape; and perhaps rejecting the very concept of it as we are trained to understand it, seeing it in reverse. I’ve experienced such moments myself, but only briefly, as if in a dream, lost. And I know some who have been through more extended periods. I wonder how many fear to share what they know.
