I am most definitely not one of the hopeless. I agree that yours is not, and purposefully so, the most optimistic outlook and I very much appreciate that and the effort you’ve gone through to be so detailed in your approach.

However, when you conclude, noting that things will be terrible, you’ve pretty much skipped over the fact that they will be worse than you’ve hoped for, in my honest opinion as informed by the latest IPCC report. Because none of the strategies you’ve discussed will prevent the worst outcomes.

There is still hope. But we have to do so much more than this. Will we be able to do that? And will we be able to overcome the cynicism, the anxieties, the denial, in order to accomplish those massive changes in the social and economic order?

Not through individual action alone. As you say, "only through community..." But only through the largest of communties we know.
