As a longer general note following up on what I PREACHED (amen) earlier...

Don’t bother with the folks who have 50K followers. Go with those whose writing you like personally. Then...look at the writers THEY follow, especially if they only follow 20-50 people themselves. And look at them.

For example, take a look at Bev Potter or Emilia Smith, two writers I follow. Not everything they write will knock you out of your chair but something might. Or Christine Stevens, one of the most underrated funny people here (but she NEVER uses “asterisks” so be prepared...).

Speaking of Christine, she runs a publication, The Haven, you might want to consider. Also, MuddyUm, which has a different comedy vibe. The Junction publishes some humor (they think). Simon Black, who publishes off and on with The Haven used to run his own publication. He was the first to publish my work when I came to the platform back in the dark ages. I don’t know if that’s still around and, honestly, I don’t even remember the name of it. Keep watching YouTube and the same thing will happen to your brain. Oh, RIGHT... It’s called Down in the Dingle and it’s still there but it looks like it doesn’t publish too much. Simon is a great guy.
